The Ushers are an essential part of a welcoming and smooth-running Sunday worship service. They greet everyone at the doors and act as a host for their section of the worship centre. Ushers actively move people away from the back, keeping tabs on where the open seats will be once the service starts. 

In this role your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

   + Arrive 30 minutes before the service you are serving at.
   + Attend the morning meeting before the service for prayer and information. 
   + Greet those who enter the worship centre.
   + Help individuals be seated and find space available for them and their family to sit.
   + Help reduce distractions during the service by closing the doors and opening them when folks need to leave.
   + Help in emergencies with the guidance of the team leaders .
   + Welcome new comers and connect them to the welcome desk or other next steps

Commitment: 2 hours on Sunday mornings based on a rotating schedule. 

Requirements: To serve in this role you must be a regular attender of Emmanuel, and have a heart for helping people to feel welcome.
